Ram Mandir Ayodhya Opening Ceremony: The 51-inch-tall statue of Lord Ram reflecting five-year-old Ram Lalla will be chosen from three designs.
“All three designs made by different sculptors will be placed on the table. The one that gets the most votes will be installed at the time of the consecration of the temple on January 22,” sources said.

The consecration ceremony of the temple will be held over a period of seven days, starting from January 16.

Formal rituals will begin on January 18 with Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan and Vastu Puja.

On January 19, the sacred fire will be lit, followed by the installation of ‘Navagraha’ and performing ‘Havan’ (sacred rituals around the fire). The sanctum sanctorum of Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be washed with Saryu water on January 20, followed by Vastu Shanti and ‘Annadhivas’ ritual.

On January 21, the idol of Ramlala will be bathed with 125 urns and finally he will be given Samadhi. On the last day, on January 22, after the morning puja, the idol of Ram Lala will be consecrated in the afternoon in ‘Mrigashira Nakshatra’.
