Robin plays for Sonnet Cricket Club in Ranchi and his coach is Chanchal Bhattacharya, who was once Dhoni’s coach. In previous years, Dhoni would come to the club and interact with Robin, spending time with him and discussing his physical aspect to the game.
Robin has not yet played a single match for the senior Jharkhand team, but he has impressed while playing for the Under-19 team. In 2021, he scored three centuries in five matches for Jharkhand Under-19, and also played in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy last year. He was also a part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy team this season, but could not play due to typhoid.
