Tata Punch EV: Today, Tata Motors revealed that the Punch EV will be based on its all-new EV architecture called Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle (ACTIEV). Now, the automaker has started bookings for its electric micro-SUV. Interested customers can book this Citroen eC3-rival at a token amount of Rs 21,000 from any authorized Tata dealership or through the brand’s official website.
This sub-four-metre electric SUV will be offered in five variants, Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ in four monotone and five dual-tone color options. Monotone shades include Seawood Green, Daytona Grey, Fearless Red and Pristine White. On the other hand, the dual-tone options include these four shades with a black roof. As for the dual-tone, there is also a new Oxide color that is available exclusively with the Empowered and Empowered+ trims.

Tata Punch EV Battery: Tata Motors claims that the acti.ev platform has an “optimized battery pack design“. The Punch EV may be available in two battery pack options – medium range and long range. This results in a 10 percent improvement in energy density. The pack design also offers “multiple range options” from 300 km to 600 km and the architecture enables modularity in choosing the right drivetrain option for the “suitable product” between AWD, RWD and FWD.The acti.ev platform supports AWD, RWD and FWD drivetrain options and a 7.2 kW to 11 kW onboard charger for AC fast charging and up to 150 kW of DC fast charging – which can add approximately 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Tata Punch EV Interior: A look inside the cabin revealed that the Punch will have a new two-spoke steering wheel. The new design for the steering wheel debuted with the Curvv SUV Concept last year and is likely to be used in all Tata cars in the future. Apart from the Punch, the Nexon spy pictures have also revealed the same two-spoke steering wheel design.

Tata Punch EV Body
Tata Punch EV Body: Being a pure electric vehicle platform, it has the potential to support multiple body styles. The carmaker has even said that it will underpin the Punch EV, Curve EV, Sierra EV and Harrier EV. Tata has also managed to package this platform well and it will have elements like a flat floor and a frunk (storage space under the bonnet). The acti.ev architecture supports multiple body styles that the future GNCAP And are designed to comply with BNCAP security protocols. It has a flat floor that helps maximize cabin space and storage courtesy of the extra frunk. It also helps in lowering the center of gravity.
According to the carmaker, acti.ev is a scalable architecture with Level 2 ADAS capabilities and is Level 2+ ready. It supports vehicle to load (V2L) and vehicle to vehicle (V2V) charging and 5G connectivity. Tata Tiago EV has been awarded 4-star safety rating.
Tata Punch EV Range
The Punch EV has been spotted testing multiple times and is expected to offer a claimed range of close to 500 km. Expected to come with two battery packs for varied range and pricing. Will sport exterior design changes inspired from the facelifted Nexon EV.The Tata Punch EV has a claimed range of 310km with the 26kWh battery pack. The maximum speed of electric cars varies depending on the power of their driving motors. Currently, the fastest electric car can reach speeds of up to 412 kilometers per hour. The Wuling Air ev, an electric car, can reach speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.

Tata Punch EV Colours & Exterior
Tata Punch EV Colours: In terms of colours, the Tata Punch EV will be available in five options, namely Empowered Oxide dual-tone, Seadwood dual-tone, Fearless Red dual-tone, Daytona Grey dual-tone, and Pristine White dual-tone.
Exterior: While the overall silhouette of the Punch will remain similar to the ICE version, the EV will sport some different visual highlights. The electric version of the Punch will get a new five-spoke alloy wheel design with rear disc brakes.
