Fact-Checking Policy

Todaytazakhabar.com constantly strives for excellence and accuracy and correct information,  we deny the fact that we will sometimes make small mistakes. When these errors occur,  todaytazakhabar.com will take responsibility for correcting the error and maintain a high level of transparency to ensure that all parties are confident that misinformation is not spread.

To achieve the goals of accuracy, transparency, accurate information and excellence, each party must take the following steps:

Readers:

If a reader notices an error, she should immediately contact Editor-in-Chief Emily Wentland by email, phone, mail,  or in person.

Topic: Need for Improvement

No corrections are officially submitted until the reader contacts the editor-in-chief directly.  Corrections assigned to other staff members of the todaytazakhabar.com may not be addressed in time or at all.

When a reader notices a mistake sent by email or mail information, the correction must include the date or number of the issue where the  correction was observed (print, online, etc.)  the   reader’s name and a phone number or email address at which they can be contacted. Readers should also include the correct information and a source where they found that information, if applicable. For example, if the Student Senate’s vote tally was incorrect,  please provide the details of that meeting.

Readers can expect a response from the editor-in-chief and may be contacted further if an explanation is noted or the editor needs more information. Please note that the correction submission is a guarantee that the error will be checked but it is not a guarantee that the correction will be issued.

Once the editor-in-chief finds out about an error, he will check for the error using the information provided by the reader, meeting minutes,   the reporter’s recording, and any other source of information available to him.  .

If an error is found,  the editor-in-chief will issue corrections in all forms that the information was transmitted incorrectly:

Print:

Corrections will be printed on page  2A in the next published issue. Along with corrections, problems, articles, and incorrect information will also be displayed.

The article will be corrected and an editor’s note will be added below the article stating what was wrong and when the article was changed.

Social Media:

If the article was posted on Facebook, Twitter or any other online medium controlled by The  todaytazakhabar.com, a post linking to the correct article, with correction in mind, will be created.

Once the correction is made, the editor-in-chief will contact the reader submitting the correction and inform them of the steps taken to correct the error.
