Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday, December 30, at the airport, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath welcomed him. And PM Modi inaugurated various projects worth Rs 15,000 crore, including the airport, railway station, highway and railway line doubling. PM Modi inaugurates 2 new Amrit Bharat, 6 Vande Bharat trains in Ayodhya.
Also included was the inauguration of the newly built Ayodhya Airport, now called Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. Speaking at the event, PM Modi expressed happiness at being in Ayodhya Dham and acknowledged the city’s enthusiasm during his roadshow. He highlighted the anticipation of the consecration of the Ram temple on January 22.
PM Modi Addressed Ayodhya Ram Temple Devotees
Ahead of the Ram temple consecration ceremony scheduled to be held on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ayodhya on Saturday to inaugurate the airport and the renovated railway station. PM Modi urged that ‘all Ram devotees should not make up their mind to come to Ayodhya on 22 January’.
PM Modi assured that ‘as Ram devotees, we would not want to create any problem for Lord Ram. You can all come to eternity starting from January 23rd… The Ram temple is now there forever.
Development in Ayodhya
PM Modi stressed on Ayodhya’s role in the development of Uttar Pradesh, anticipating an increase in pilgrims and tourists due to the grand Ram temple. He highlighted the improvement in infrastructure to meet the expected demand, including expansion of Ayodhya Dham railway station and various path projects.
The city [Ayodhya] is developing due to the prime minister’s foresight. Today, Ayodhya Dham station was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, marking the commitment to preserve Ayodhya’s heritage and start new facilities. Today, six Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat trains have been dedicated to India. These trains connect different parts of the country, including Ayodhya,” Vaishnaw said at a public rally.
The Union Railway Minister said that the railway sector has received a fresh boost during the tenure of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Railways in UP are being developed with a budget of Rs 17,100 crore. PM Modi dedicates railway projects worth Rs 20,300 crore to the nation. There has been a change in every station of Uttar Pradesh including completion of electrification works.
The projects unveiled by PM Modi are expected to enhance the importance of Ayodhya on the national map by combining progress with cultural heritage.
Six Vande Bharat Express Trains Flagged Off.
The new Amrit Bharat trains will run as Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and Malda Town-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) as Amrit Bharat Express.
The Vande Bharat Express trains that were flagged off include Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express; Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express; Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express;Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express; Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express and Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express.
The PM also dedicated to the nation three railway projects worth Rs 2,300 crore to strengthen rail infrastructure in the region. The projects include the Ruma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project; Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga and Safdarganj-Rasauli sections of Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project; and doubling and electrification project of Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.

Fire exits connecting all floors ensure safety. The Ayodhya Dham railway station, measuring 140m x 32.6m, is a testament to India’s commitment to modern and symbolic railway infrastructure. The Ayodhya dham railway station features a spacious front porch (140m x 12m) for passenger shelter in bad weather, and at night, both the old and new station buildings glow a radiant pink hue, creating a visually enchanting ambience.
